UMBA UMASS LOWELL EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES AND INNOVATION CENTER (ETIC)

Served as owner’s representative for this new $73M, 84,000 SF ground-up science research center. This certified LEED Gold project spans 4 stories and houses manufacturing research and nano-manufacturing laboratories, cleanroom facilities as well as bio, health, and environment research labs. The Center features conference and seminar spaces, administrative offices, and a 2-story atrium lobby. Part of the work was paid for through a grant, and invoices for specific work had to be identified accordingly.

MASSACHUSETTS STATE HOUSE RENOVATIONS

Served as owner’s representative for the occupied interior renovations of over 400 offices and supporting spaces for the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Scope included: relocation of furniture and occupants to swing space; hazardous materials abatement; demolition; plaster ceiling and wall repair, paint; electrical reconfiguration; furniture reconfiguration; new carpet; and relocation of furniture and occupants back to newly renovated space.

CAMBRIDGE REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (CRA)

Served as owner’s representative for the $5M, 16,000 SF renovation of an 1865 urban commercial building in Central Square, Cambridge. Known as “Non-Profit Row,” the building was recently purchased by the CRA to allow the non-profits to continue their missions at this highly desirable location. The holding of this building was the first of its kind for the CRA, and guidance to the Owner was provided on project phasing, public procurement, tenant relocation, etc.
